The Sun Conference, formerly known as the Florida Sun Conference, is an amazing conference with teams in the southeast United States. Playing in a sunny, beautiful part of the country makes this conference more beautiful than the rest. Watching a baseball game in sunny Florida is unmatched anywhere in the country. The conference consists of original members Embry-Riddle, Flagler, Florida Memorial, Nove (now Nova Southeastern), Palm Beach Atlantic, Webber International, Warner Southern, and St. Thomas. In 1994, Northwood joined the conference followed by Savannah College of Art and Design in 2004 and Edward Waters in 2006. The Sun Conference plays men and women’s cross country, men and women’s soccer, and volleyball in the fall. It plays men and women’s basketball in the winter, baseball and men and women’s golf in the spring. Additionally, softball, men and women’s tennis, and men and women’s track are played in the spring. The great teams in the Sun Conference make for exciting athletic competition each and every year.
